Malnar, Mr. and Mrs. Matt (40^th - 14 June 1964)

Friends and relatives gathered at the American Legion Hall in Thorp Sunday evening to celebrate the 40^th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Malnar of Greenwood.

The honored couple was married June 14, 1924.  They have three children: Mrs. Mike (Rose) Krultz, Jr., of Neillsville, Mrs. Robert (Dolores) Zukowski of Thorp; and Matthew, who will return to theological studies at St. Procopius Seminary in Lisle, Ill, in the fall.  The honorees also have six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The hall was appropriately decorated with ruby red and white streamers and white bells. A big sign with the words, "Happy 40^th Anniversary," also in ruby red and white letters, hung directly above the anniversary cake which was baked by Mrs. Vernon Lewandowski. The wedding photographs were also displayed.

Music was furnished by Jerry’s Jolly Jesters.  Guests present were from Berwyn, Ill.; Minneapolis, Minn.; Owen, Withee, Willard, Greenwood and Thorp.
