Dunow, Otto #2 (1 APR 1888 - 14 JUN 1962)

 

Otto Dunow, age 74, died at the Clark County Hospital Thursday evening, June 14, 1962, where he had lived the past two years.

 

Mr. Dunow was a pioneer of the Town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.) and was born there April 1, 1888.  He operated a farm until 1941 when he became employed at the Clark County Hospital, Owen, until his retirement seven years ago.  He made his home in the village of Curtiss and two years ago became a resident of the Clark County Home for the Aged at Greenwood.

 

He was married on Oct. 15, 1911 to Mabel Borgemoen, who died on July 1, 1930.  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Art (Marion) Steinke, Colby, Mrs. Walter (Frances) Heize, Milwaukee, two sons, Guy of Curtiss, and Alton of Berwyn, Ill.; seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. William Fahrenbach of Curtiss.

 

Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon, June 17, at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home at Owen, with the Rev. Roger L. Telloch, pastor of the American Lutheran Church of Curtiss, officiating.  Miss Bunee Kraut sang "Abide with me" and "Beyond the sunset."  Burial was made at Pine Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Ervin Geisler, Lester Bowen, Grant Herrick, Leonard Kivikko, Orville Laabs and Walter Lipprandt.

 

Reltiaves and friends attending the rites besides his immediate family were Frank Schroeder and daughter, Viola Sill, Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Eldred Schrafnagel of Tomah, Mr. and Mrs. William Thompson, Menasha, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spencer, Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Steinke and daughter, Homewood, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Olaf Borgemoen, Mr. and Mrs. Duwayne Krause, Chelsea, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Singer, Mr. and Mrs. Seidelman, Mrs. Brandt, Chippewa Falls, Mrs. Joe Skalek and daughters, Mauston, Ervin Geisler, Otto Hoeft, Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Kivikko, Calvin Mills, Joe Pukala, Owen, Mrs. Harold Stange and daughter, Colby, Mrs. Leonard Hamm, Milwaukee, Mrs. Orville Leiders, Mr. and Mrs. William Fahrenbach, Mr. and Mrs. William Steinke, Abbotsford.
