Granton (6 August 1964)

Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Opelt, accompanied by Carol Lehmann of St. Paul, Minn., were weekend guests of their parents and attended the Grobe-Lewis wedding Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Childs of Villa Park, Ill., visited from Friday to Monday with Miss Mabel Williams.  Mrs. Childs is the former Mrs. Vance Williams.

Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Pietenpol of Milwaukee left Sunday after spending several days with his brother, Bernard Pietenpol and family, and his sisters, Mrs. Harold Trewartha of Neillsville and Miss Ruth Pietenpol.

Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Spaete and daughter were Sunday evening callers at the Ollie Poler home.

The Ladies Aid of the Granton Methodist Church will meet this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 p.m. in the church. Hostesses will be Mrs. Lloyd Spry and Miss Pearle Beeckler.

Recent weekend guests of the Rev. and Mrs. F. C. Benecke were: Mr. and Mrs. James Warden of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Druckrey and daughter of Seering, Mrs. Esther Basch of Shawano; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Yakel and Mr. and Mrs. Ellsworth Gerndt of Seering.
