The Family of William E. Dimmitt

Back row: Nellie, Frances (Honey), Mary (Toots)

Front row: William Arthur (Bud), Mother Mary holding George, Father William Edgar and Leona (Tots)

William E. and Mary are the Great-Grandparents of Cindy Dressler.  Her Grandmother being Nellie and her Godfather being George.

William and Mary lived in Fort Dodge, IA before coming to Humbird.  The house they lived in still stands today, it is located on County Road F, about 1/4 mile from town just past the creek on the east side of the road. William and Mary are buried in the Town of Mentor Cemetery as is Nellie (Matti) and Mary (Toots) Ray.  Leona, her husband Lester Vinney, George and his wife Helen are buried in the Fairview St. Joseph's Catholic Church Cemetery.  William A. and his wife Lola, lived in Norfolk, Va. and I would guess that is where they are buried.  To the best of my knowledge, Frances (Honey) is still alive.
