Nelson, Bonita (Marriage - 1 August 1964)
Baskets of yellow and white chrysanthemums graced the altar of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal August 1, for the wedding of Bonita Nelson and Erlin R. Roehl, both of Loyal. Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nelson and Mrs. Frieda Roehl, all of Loyal.
Mr. Nelson gave his daughter in marriage at the ceremony performed by the Rev. A. M. Moldenhauer. For her wedding the bride chose a gown of white Chantilly lace styled with a Basque bodice, which was enhanced by a Sabrina neckline studded with sequins. A double crown headpiece secured a fingertip veil. She carried a bridal bouquet of red roses and swainsonia with white satin leaves.
Her maid-of-honor was Miss Julie Ann Vajgrt of Loyal. Mrs. Lowell Roehl of Loyal and Mrs. Dennis Markham of Granton were bridesmaids. They were attired in blue taffeta street-length sheath dresses, fashioned with overskirts, forming a rose in front. The dresses were accented by blue rose headpieces with blush veils. Their crescent bouquets were blue and white carnations and pompons.
Elgin Roehl of Loyal was bestman. Groomsmen were Lowell Roehl and Dennis Markham. Ushers were David Nelson and Dennis Lee.
Both Mr. and Mrs. Nelson are graduates of Loyal High School, with the classes of 1960 and 1963, respectively.
They are making their home in Milwaukee following a wedding trip to Niagara Falls.
