G.E. Amidon went to Oshkosh on Wednesday where he is attending the druggists’ convention this week.
Mrs. J.B. Daughhetee entertained the Circle Wednesday.
Mrs. Len Cole of Humbird is here visiting at Fred Hart’s since Tuesday.
Jason Phillips and Pratt Dawes of Chili transacted business here on Wednesday.
Dr. and Mrs. Rath autoed to Cataract last Sunday and spent the day with his parents.
Miss Gertrude Holmes returned to her school work at Hawthorne last Monday. She was accompanied by her sister, Miss Inez, who will spend some time with her.
Dan Kennedy, one of the county’s old settlers and well known to many of our readers, died at his home in Neillsville last Friday at the age of 68 years.
Ben Strey came up from Sheboygan Falls last Saturday for an over Sunday visit with relatives. He returned again Monday.
John Garvue of Dorchester rose down on his bicycle last week Thursday to spend a day here with his brother Andrew. John returned home Friday by train.
The Misses Emma and Gertrude Kimball went to Neillsville Tuesday evening and remained until Wednesday afternoon guests at Mrs. Nettie Youman’s.
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Miner of Milo, S.D. arrived here Friday for a two week visit at the Fred Grassman home. Mrs. Miner was born Elsie Grassman and is a bride of but a few months.
J. Gruenewald of Milwaukee who came here in very poor health 7 weeks ago for a stay and visit at the John Kauth home was joined by his wife there two weeks since and they departed for their home to the city last Friday. Mr. Gruenewald apparently considerably improved in health.
Harry Cole, while driving over a culvert just south of Chili Monday had the misfortune to have an auto bump into his rig and upset it, badly wrecking the buggy. The auto driver was a stranger to Harry, but a gentleman never the less, for he replaced the damaged buggy with a brand new one purchased of Herman Henning as soon as Chili could be reached.
