Pleasant Ridge (27 August 1964)
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lezotte spent the weekend in Rudolph at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Holenbach. On Saturday evening they attended a housewarming at the Holenbach’s new home.
Mr. and Mrs. Laverne Gaier of Magnolia, O., arrived by plane for a few days’ visit with relatives. They left Tuesday for home, accompanied by their son, Bob, who spent the summer with his grandmother, Mrs. Eugene Short.
Mrs. Tony Lezotte and daughter, Agnes, and another daughter, Mrs. Angeline Kunce and her daughter, and Mrs. Kathleen Kunce of Neenah, visited Mrs. Tony Lezotte’s brothers-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Lezotte, Sr., in Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lezotte and family, Friday of last week. Enroute here they called at the Wayne Holenbach home in Rudolph.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Jones of Oshkosh were guests Saturday of her brother, Walter Schlinsog.
Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Gerhardt and family of Madison, who spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Gerhardt, in Neillsville, also visited his brother, Calvin Gerhardt, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Short, Wayne and Lorraine, returned Saturday from a week in Miami, Fla., where they attended the International Flying Farmers Convention. Thy made the trip by private plane.
Several from this area attended the annual corn festival in Loyal over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dodge and two children of Darien were Tuesday guests at the Dale Short home.
Jack Grassman of this community and Paul Spaete of Granton returned Sunday evening from a three-week vacation and camping trip to California.
Mrs. Victor Pagenkopf and two children, who spent part of the summer with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarion Counsell, left Sunday for their home in Platteville.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Hughes and son, Michael, attended the wedding of Karen Fox Saturday in Appleton. They left Appleton the same evening for Madison to visit their daughters, Bettie and Mary. Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Hughes and son left for Oxnard, Cal., where they will reside this winter.
