Sunday, Aug. 5, 1962, the members of the Rebekah and Odd Fellow Lodge of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) held their annual picnic at the Greenwood Park.
Guests from other lodges were Mrs. Francis Herrick, Mr. and Mrs. Abejah Herrick, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Tumm, all of Augusta. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kirn of Willard, Mrs. Wilson of Wis. Rapids, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wendt of Eau Claire, and Bobbie Grampack, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Grampack of Loyal.
Bobbie gave an interesting talk on his daily routine at summer youth camp, Spencer Lake, Waupaca. Bobbies’ trip was sponsored by the Withee Lodge.
Mr. Viggo Rasmussen told how he prepared and cooked 90 lbs. of meat twice a day, made 500 pancakes for breakfast, and 104 pounds of chicken, with all the trimmings for 200 boys and girls. Mrs. Wilson played a guitar and sang several songs. There was also group singing.
