Wenzel, Edward (6 Sept. 1886 - 6 Mar. 1959)
Mr. and Mrs. George Bentzler, George Jr., and Chris Bentzler were among the relatives and friends that attended the funeral of Edward Wenzel, 71, at Hartford on Monday of this week.
Death occurred at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hartford following a week’s illness and was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage on Friday evening, march 6th. Final rites were said Monday at St. Kilian’s and burial was in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Wenzel was born in Hewitt Sept. 6, 1888. He lived there six years and then moved to Loyal. He was married Nov. 12, 1912 at St. Anthony’s Church here to Pauline Bentzler. In 1917 he moved to Hartford to work for the Kissel Motor Car Co. After three years he went to work for the West Bend Aluminum Co. where he remained until his retirement in 1957.
His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Wenzel preceded him in death. Surviving in addition to his wife are three children: Gerald and Raymond, Hartford; James, East Troy; a brother: Louis Wenzel, Random Lake; a sister: Mrs. Mary Blaisdell, Columbus, Ohio; and six grandchildren.
