Wessenberg, Elmer (4 November 1905 - 23 August 1964)

 

Funeral services for Elmer Wesenberg, 58, of Rt. 1 Granton, were held Wednesday afternoon from the Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton. The Rev. L. L. McCormick of Immanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church in Chili officiated. Burial was made in the Lynn Cemetery.

 

Mr. Wesenberg died suddenly of a heart attack Sunday.

 

Elmer Wesenberg was born November 4, 1905, in the Town of Washburn, where he attended rural school.  November 18, 1937, he was married to the former Elberta Kiddo in Neillsville. Since then they have farmed in the Town of Lynn, and at the time of his death he was employed in Marshfield.

 

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dale and Merlin of Granton; and a daughter, Rosalyn, at home.  Other survivors are five brothers, Charles of Gary, Ind., Robert of Wisconsin Rapids, Albert of Neillsville, Wesley of Marshfield, and Fred of Granton; and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Jarvis of Woodruff, Mrs. Mamie Courtland of Neillsville, and Mrs. Esther Shay of Madison.  Four grandchildren also survive.

 

Pallbearers were; Arnold, Norman and Harvey Wesenberg, Elroy Salzwedel, Warren Sternitzky and Ralph Riedel.
