Silos all filled in this vicinity.

J.P. LaStofka had quite a smash up with his corn husker Thursday at Frank Krejci’s.

Saturday, while filling Geo Wilson’s silo the belt came off the silo filler and started to wind on the engine pulley.  Frank Plummer was the first to notice it, jumped off the load and threw the belt off the engine, but in trying to do so the belt caught him and threw him some 20 feet before it let go.  Frank’s foot was somewhat hurt and it will lay him up for several weeks.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rohrbecker and Miss Rhoda Schafer of Sheboygan are visiting at Frank Potter’s and Norman Schafer’s of York.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Henze of Granton spent Sunday with C. reed and family.

Geo. Reindel and family visited with Aug. Schoengarth and family at Neilslville Sunday.

W.K. Graves threshed last Saturday.  He had waited till everyone was through as he said that everybody was telling how their grain turned out.  But he said his would not turn out soe he threshed it out.

Robert Kurth of Neillsville was out and spent Sunday at Geo. Wilson’s.

Oscar Northup has his basement wall finished and ready for the barn frame.

Miss Alma Reindel helped Mrs. Geo. Wilson the past week.

Frank Wilson is working for Geo. Wilson helping fill silos.

M.C. Redmond had the county’s threshing done and silo filled last week.  The Goebel threshing crew did the job.

Wm. Reindel and Chas. Kupka were home for a week, not having any threshing to do during silo filling time around Heintown.

John Waters of Heintown was in our vicinity looking for jobs pressing hay.  For a good job they are the boys that can turn out good work.

W.K. Graves’ father and mother, who have been visiting here with him, returned to Oakfield Monday.

The county is having a cement floor laid in the basement of the old cattle barn. Tom Hommel of Neillsville is doing the work.

W.K. Graves had a painful but not serious accident happen last Thursday, when eh was about to crank his gasoline engine, the crank failed to loosen from the shaft and as he let go of the same it flew off and struck him in the side.  It changed an awful color in his face and as the Indian says much bad feeling.

Wayne Potter autoed to Loyal on Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rohrbecker, who are visiting here and in the vicinity of Loyal and Unity.

John Kelley is filling his silo this week.

Al Schuler is cutting clover for seed.
