The city of Marshfield has troubles of its own at present.  A shortage of $1500 was recently discovered in a certain department of the city’s business and as a consequence an attempt is being made to oust Mayor Connor at a special election to be called in the near future.  L.B. Carl, former superintendent of the Water, Light and Power Co. is said to be to blame for the shortage and Mayor Connor is severely criticized for not discovering the real state of affairs as the chairman of that commission.
