Granton (17 September 1964)
Robert Spry left Monday for Paris, Ill., where he has purchased a root beer stand. He was accompanied as far as Chicago by Mr. and Mrs. William Schmidtke, who are visiting relatives there.
An adult Bible class conducted by the Rev. F. C. Benecke will be started this (Thursday) Evening in the Zion Lutheran Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Garbisch spent a weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Opelt in St. Paul, Minn.
Mr. and Mrs. Leland Garbisch and family have returned from a three-day vacation trip to Cornell.
Mr. and Mrs. Rhinhold Radewathen have left for their home in Luenen, Germany, after being guests at the Alfred Spaete home since June 24. They also visited other area relatives and in Eau Claire. Mr. Radewathen is a retired school principal.
The October meeting of the Granton Happy Homemakers Club will be held at the home of Mrs. Ruth Ebert in Neillsville. The club presents the hostess of each meeting with a handkerchief shower. Beginning with the November meeting the club will begin their meetings with a noon luncheon to enable members to return home earlier.
