Neillsville Area Locals (17 September 1964)
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Strebing of Lyons, Ill., were recent guests of Florence Spaete, Albert Schultz and at the Kenneth Strebing home.
Mrs. T. Haugen Friday returned to Madison after spending several days with her niece, Mrs. Glenn Lazotte and her family, and attending the funeral of Robert Wagner.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Trewartha spent several days recently in Waupaca with their daughter, Mrs. Robert Prochnow, and her family.
Mr. and Mrs. Orville Evanson and sons of Wausau visited recently with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Evanson. They were enroute home from Davenport, Ia., where they had visited her step-sisters, Mrs. Borden and Mrs. Sayne and families.
Julius Haralson and Eva Michelson of Milwaukee called one day last week at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Edwin Evanson. They were enroute to Eau Claire and Chetek for a visit with Miss Michelson’s relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Arne Matheson and daughter, and Mrs. Edwin Evanson, accompanied by Ralph Vandewyst of Granton, drove to Milwaukee for a weekend visit with relatives. Saturday they attended the wedding of Julius Haralson and Eva Michelson.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Solberg have moved from the Subke house on Grand avenue into the house on West 4th Street recently vacated by Betty Sims, who has move to Black River Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gutman have purchased a night club near Marshfield and are in the process of remodeling and painting. They formerly operated a club in northern Wisconsin prior to building their home on the banks of Cunningham Creek south of Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bruhn spent a few days recently with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Chet Williams, and their sons, in Oak Creek, and with their son, W. Jay Bruhn and his family in Muskego. Enroute home they visited Mr. and Mrs. Odin Olson and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Redmond in Fond du Lac, and in Oshkosh with Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Huntington.
Ray Reineck, janitor at the high school suffered the dislocation of his right arm at the shoulder in a fall down his basement steps Tuesday night. He was taken to Memorial Hospital, where he remained overnight.
