Williams, Darrel Dewey (6 May 1957 - 25 January 2012)
Darrel Dewey Williams, age 54, of Thorp, died at Ministry St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Marshfield, on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Visitation was held on Saturday, January 28, 2012, at Thorp Funeral Home, in Thorp, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. No formal services will be held.
Darrel Dewey Williams was born on May 6, 1957, at Victory Memorial Hospital, in Stanley, WI, the son of Dewey and Clara (Fillipeck) Williams. He was educated in the Thorp School District and graduated from Thorp High School in 1975. After completing his education, Dewey worked for a garbage company in Eau Claire for a few years, before holding various jobs throughout southern Wisconsin. He moved back to Thorp in 1993 and worked as a caregiver for New Horizon’s Home Health Care until December 2011.
Dewey had many interests, but especially enjoyed playing Euchre, making wine, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
He is survived by his children: Jennifer Kolze of Prairie du Sac, and Nic Williams of San Diego, CA; three grandchildren: April, Cassidy and Ryne; his life partner, Meg Lynn, of Thorp, and her children and grandchildren: Shannon Lynn of Elkhorn, Jason Lynn of Parshall, N.D., Renee Lynn of Elkhorn, Blake, Lexi and Brody; two brothers: James (Diane) Williams of Willard, and Rollin (Kathy) Williams of New Berlin; one sister, Shirley Williams of Thorp; and his best pal, "George."
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Richard Williams.
