Ernest Sternitzky transacted business at the county seat last week Thursday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ferd Helm spent Sunday on the Ridge with relatives and friends.

 

Albert hanger of Chicago, a brother-in-law of A. Bentz, arrived last week for a several days visit and took his wife back home with him.  She has been staying with Mr. and Mrs. Bentz for several months until her health had improved enough to return to Chicago last Thursday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lee of Heathville visited W.C. Beecher Thursday.

 

C. Heckert of Appleton spent Sunday at Otto Becker’s.

 

Miss Emma Altenburg had the misfortune to scald one of her hands quite badly early in the week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Miner returned to their home at Mylo, N.D. after a two week visit with the latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grassman.

 

Mrs. Robert Iackish and Laura Neitzel visited at Wm. Nitschke’s the fore part of the week.

 

Davis and Snow shipped cattle on Tuesday.

 

Mrs. John Breseman, Miss Agnes Krause and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mayhew were Marshfield visitors last Thursday.

 

Marin Krause returned from Cascade Friday, after a week’s visit with Frank Preston.

 

Max Opelt autoed to Lindsey Monday with his wife and Mrs. Robert Iackish, who visited the Wm. Opelt family.

 

Mrs. Jos. Wiertz was shopping in Neillsville the fore part of the week.

 

The Max Opelt and R.T. Washburn families attended the lecture course at Granton Tuesday evening.

 

Leo and Joseph Sternitzky and Carl Opelt assisted in the orchestra at Granton Monday evening.

 

The dance was postponed Saturday night on account of the rain.  The next will be the 18th of this month.

 

Dan Brooks of Cedarhurst was in this vicinity buying apples last week.

 

Miss Anna Hankey spent several days last week with her sister, Mrs. August Dankemyer near Chili.
