Latta, Judy Ann (7 OCT 1962)
The Methodist Church in Withee, decorated with flowers and lighted tapers, was the setting for the wedding Saturday, Oct. 7, 1962, at 2:00 p.m. of Miss Judy Ann Latta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Latta, route 1, Chili (Clark Co., Wis.), and Roger William Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Johnson, route 2, Owen (Clark Co.).
The Rev. Gene Carlson performed the marriage ceremony, during which Mr. Latta gave his daughter in marriage. Mrs. Dorothy Rabska played for the ceremony and Miss Ethel Johnson and Miss Opal Martinson sang.
The bride wore a white satin dress and a headband of blue and white flowers from which her bridal veil flowed.
Miss Ruth Stillman, Granton, was the maid of honor; Joyce Latta and Verlyn Martinson were the flower girl and ring bearer, respectively; James Brossow served as best man; and Russell Martinson performed the ushering duties.
The wedding dance and supper were held at the Curtiss Hall. After a wedding trip to Milwaukee, the Johnsons will stay at the groom’s parents’ home for a time. Mr. Johnson, who attended Owen High School, is a bull rider in rodeos for Barnes. His bride attended Granton High School.
