Brunner, Anna (22 AUG 1873 - 29 NOV 1962)
Mrs. Andrew Brunner, a longtime resident of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.) passed away of old age infirmities at her home in the city on Thursday, November 29, 1962. She had reached the age of 89 years, 3 months and 7 days.
The former Anna Ziehr was born in St. Johns, Wis., on August 22, 1873. She was united in marriage to Andrew Brunner at Thorp on Nov. 28, 1893. She lived all of her married life in Thorp and upon the death of her husband in August 1953 resided with her son, Barney Brunner, Thorp.
Surviving her are two sons, Barney Brunner of Thorp and George Brunner of Chippewa Falls; two daughters, Anna, Mrs. Alfred Hanson, and Mrs. Theresa Auberg, both of Owen; and one brother, Rhinehard Ziehr of Plymouth. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by six children.
Funeral services for the deceased were conducted by Father Francis Brockman at St. Bernard’s Church in Thorp at 10L00 o’clock Monday morning, Dec. 3, and interment took place in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edward Bogumill, Ray Arndt, Frank Swienton, Anton Beller, Edward Beller and Louis Badzinski.
