Garbisch, Maryanne #2(30 May 1959)

The Rev. Joseph Eisenmann officiated at the 9 o’clock service May 30 which united Miss Maryanne Garbisch and Noel Olson in marriage at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Victor Garbisch of route 1, Loyal and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Olson of route 1, Loyal.  The children’s choir of the church sang "on This Day O beautiful Mother."

The bride was given in marriage by her father.  She wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over satin styled with long sleeves, scalloped neckline trimmed with rhinestones and a train edged in ruffled metallic material.  Her finger-tip length veil fell from a crown of seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of red and white roses and lily of the valley.

Mrs. Harry Werner of Milwaukee was her sister’s matron of honor and bridesmaids were Miss Phyllis Ellison, Milwaukee and Miss Diann Becker of Loyal.  Junior bridesmaids were Patricia Werner and Dian Liesche, nieces of the bride from Milwaukee.

The matron of honor wore blue and the bridesmaids all wore pink floor-length gowns with jackets of lace.  The dresses were styled by a full skirt of nylon and lace with bows in the back.  They carried bouquets of pink and white carnations.

Vicki Werner of Milwaukee was flower girl.

Harry Werner of Milwaukee was best man and groomsmen were Norman Olson, Milwaukee and Donald Olson, Loyal.

Elmer Romang of Athens and Dennis Olson of Loyal ushered.

After the ceremony a breakfast was served for the bridal party and immediate family at the home of the bride’s parents and a reception followed there in the afternoon.  A supper was served at the American Legion Hall to about 200 guests followed by an evening dance.

The bride and groom attended Loyal High School.  Mr. Olson is employed at Rollohome Corp. and on his father’s farm.  The couple are making their home on route 2, Loyal.
