Loos, Marilyn Joan (20 June 1959)

The Rev. Norbert E. King officiated at the 10 a.m. wedding on June 20, of Miss Marilyn Joan Loos and Eugene Charles Hinker.  The ceremony took place at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Loos of Loyal and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Hinker of Greenwood.

A lace headpiece trimmed with nylon pleated net held the bride’s fingertip veil of silk illusion.  Her floor length gown of imported lace and tulle was fashioned with long sleeves, a semi-sabrina neckline with outline of clustered sequins and a full skirt with a satin bow trim at the back of the hemline.  Her bouquet was an arrangement of white gardenias and red roses surrounding a white orchid.

The maid of honor was Miss Marlene Loos of Minneapolis, the bride’s sister, and her bridesmaids were Miss June Loos, Loyal, another sister, and Miss JoAnn Hinker, Greenwood, a sister of the groom.  The three attendants of the bride were similarly attired in gowns fashioned with full skirts of mint green nylon sheer over green net and taffeta.  Each sleeveless bodice was styled with a bateau neckline and pleated taffeta cummerbund and each attendant carried a colonial bouquet of green and white carnations.

The groom’s attendants were Jerry Hinker of Greenwood who served as his brother’s best man, James Hinker, Greenwood, another brother, and George Gruenke, Wausau, a cousin of the groom.

Duane Stutte, cousin of the bride, and Herbert Lindner were ushers.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.  Altar decorations were baskets of white and pink peonies and pink and white carnations and orange blossoms decorated the tables.

Music was by St. Anthony’s Choir.

The mother of the bride and the groom’s mother each wore a blue lace dress with white accessories.  Their corsages were pink and white carnations.

Dinner and supper were served at St. Anthony’s Hall, a reception was given at the home of the bride’s parents, and a dance was given at the Silver Dome Ballroom.

The bride attended Loyal Schools and is employed by General Telephone Co., in Marshfield.  The groom attended Greenwood schools and is employed by John Wuethrich Creamery Co.,  Greenwood.

When the young couple return from a honeymoon trip to the Black Hills of S. Dakota they will live at 702 S. Cherry St., Marshfield.

Out of town guests came from Chicago, Ill.: Minneapolis, Minn.: Mason City, Iowa; Madison, Wausau; Neillsville; and Greenwood.
