Kopp, Bernice (3 February 1897 - 22 October 1964)
Funeral services were held Saturday from Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville for Mrs. Bernice Kopp, 67, of Milwaukee, a former Town of Levis resident, who died October 22, in Milwaukee. The Rev. Arvid Myhrwold of Greenwood officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
Mrs. Kopp was born February 3, 1897, in Clark County, the daughter of the late Cephius and Cecelia (Youmans) Winton. She had been a lifelong resident of the Neillsville area, and attended the Columbia School.
On March 6, 1915, she was married to the late George Kopp in Neillsville. They farmed in the Town of Levis. She recently sold her farm and went to Milwaukee to make her home.
She is survived by four children: Mrs. Clarence (Ruby) Wiegman of Waukegan, Ill., Mrs. Ned (Gladys) King of Milwaukee, Raymond Kopp of Humbird, and Mrs. Dale (Arlene) Runge of Greenwood; by two sisters, a twin, Mrs. Bernita Pennebecker of Canada, Mrs. Burt (Jennie) Winters and a niece, Hattie Winton of Neillsville, and by 14 grandchildren.
Mrs. Kopp was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Kopp, 1961, and a son George R. Kopp at age 6.
Mrs. Kopp was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Pallbearers were Byno Lloyd, Murel A. Mott, Alvin Wendt, Tom Yndogliato, Herman Embke and Wilson Bohnhoff.
"What a Friend we Have in Jesus" and "Rock of Ages" were sung by Wilfred Galstad, accompanied by Mrs. E. G. Burtness.
People from out of town attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Ned King and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Roland Lisko of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wiegman and daughter, Judy, of Waukegan, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kopp and family, Mrs. Emma O’Leary, Mr. and Mrs. Russell O’Leary of Humbird; Mr. and Mrs. Dale Runge of Greenwood; Mrs. Helen Siems of Merrillan; and Mrs. Harlan Larson of Alma Center.
