Pleasant Ridge (29 October 1964)
Mrs. Ira Slocomb of Menomonie visited Saturday and Sunday with her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kuechenmeister. She was enroute home from Monroe, where she had been a hospital patient.
Mrs. Arnold Drescher and Genevieve Hantke were guests of the South Grant Sewing club one day last week at the home of Mrs. Art Lautenbach in Loyal. Assisting Mrs. Lautenbach as hostess was Mrs. Ed Lautenbach of Granton.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Korth returned home last week Tuesday from Dixon, Mo., where they attended the wedding of their grandson, Harlo Olson.
Milton Stern of New York City was a caller Monday at the Dale Short home.
Mr. and Mrs. Dale Short and family attended a mink field day in Stratford Sunday. Mr. Short classified mink. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Short and Tom also attended.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Huckstead returned home last week from Wausau, where they spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Howard Murphy and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarion Counsell and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Huckstead were guests Saturday evening at the C. A. Paulson home.
Dale Short flew to Thief River Falls, Minn., Tuesday, taking W. D. Hesse of Loyal to attend a funeral.
Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Gerhardt were hosts to their sheepshead card club, Monday evening. Meriting prizes were Ed Lezotte, Ed Hainz, Mrs. Roy Suckow and Mrs. Carl Drescher.
