Otrin, Frank (4 OCT 1878 - 8 FEB 1963)

 

A requiem Mass was said at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, for Frank Otrin, 84, Monday morning, Feb. 11.  He passed away early Friday morning at the Havenet Nursing Home where he had been a resident since Aug. 14, 1960.

 

Father H.L Crubel officiated at the final rites with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers were Frank Makovec, Joe Makovec, Mike Kovatch, Charles Kovatch, Harry O’Konski and John Prepeuluk.

 

Born Oct. 4, 1878 in Yugoslavia, Mr. Otrin came to the United States in 1909, settling at Farmington, Ill.  On Dec. 30, 1910, he was united in marriage to Johanna Tercek.  She preceded him in death, passing away in 1956.

 

The couple lived at Farmington until 1925, where he was a miner.

 

In 1925 they settled on a farm in the town of Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.), which they cleared and farmed prosperously until his retirement several years ago.

 

Survivors include three sons, Fred of rural Owen, and Albert and Frank Jr., both of Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Julia Otrin of Eau Claire, Mrs. Walter (Anne) Olzesbeck, Markham, Ill., and Mrs. Fred (Elizabeth) Lulloff, Owen, and nine grandchildren.
