Leonard Cole was home from Stevens Point over Sunday.
Miss Laura Riedel came home on Monday from a summer’s sojourn at Elkhart Lake.
Mrs. Ezra Sherrett spent Tuesday at Neillsville, having dental work done.
Stephen Wallace of Richland Center came up Saturday for a visit at Chas. Lowery’s.
Miss Nellie Dorst went to Withee Tuesday for a couple of weeks visit among relatives.
Willard Christman was the guest of his brother-in-law Albert Gotter, near Chili, on Tuesday.
Henry Eibergen of Chili came over Sunday night and visited his friend Harry Davis until Tuesday.
Miss Nellie Hungerford, after a several days visit at H.E. Williams’, went home to Chili on Saturday.
Miss Elsie Neitzel, who teaches in Jackson County, came home to spend Saturday with relatives.
Mrs. Eugene Crandall spent Monday afternoon with friends at Marshfield.
Forest Rowe of York spent Saturday with relatives and friends at Marshfield.
W.B. Wentworth, after a ten day visit here with his son Rush, returned to Edgar Monday.
Mrs. H.A. Schlinsog and her sister Mrs. Julius Lautenbach spent Monday with friends at Neillsville.
Grandpa Chas. Hart has been quite ill since Monday night, suffering with heart trouble.
Miss Fox, who had been visiting at J.P. Johnson’s in the town of Washburn, departed for home again on Sunday.
Mrs. Kissam and daughter Mildred, after an extended visit at the Fred Cole home, returned to Madison Saturday.
Wesley Shafer is visiting in Vernon County since last week Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis, with a score or more of relatives, spent Tuesday at the L. N. Hungerford home in Cedarhurst helping L.N. celebrate his birthday.
Frant Osgood, with Mr. and Mrs. Kearney Davis and their daughters Maurine and Charlotte, returned home all okay Monday after a several weeks absence and visit with relatives in Washington and Oregon.
Clarence Wallace of Stevens Point came up from there Saturday on a motor cycle and remained until Tuesday visiting at Robert Machel’s in the town of Washburn, when owing to bad roads he returned home by train.
The Misses Martha and Margaret Gereke came over from Augusta last week Tuesday and remained until Saturday, guests in the J. Trimberger home. Miss Amelia Trimberger accompanied them home on Saturday and remained until Wednesday.
Mrs. Etta Potts and daughter Beulah came up from West Lima last week Wednesday and remained until Monday, guests in the Homer Davis home. Mrs. Potts is a sister of Mrs. Davis and this was her first visit here in something more than a dozen years.
Miss Caroline Mandt of Milwaukee, after a several weeks visit here with her friend Mrs. Will Hubing, returned home on Monday. Mrs. Hubing and son Master Leland accompanied her as far as Merrillan.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schlinsog, C. Gerzemehle, Mrs. Ernest Gerzemehle, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Roehl and Miss Irma Albrecht, with a good number from Neillsville, went to Chili by train Sunday morning and attended the re-dedication of the German Lutheran Church on its new site in Chili. Many from here and Neillsville went over with teams and autos, and a large audience was in attendance despite the cold and bad roads.
Mrs. Timm, after a couple of months visit at the Otto Becker home in Lynn, returned to Appleton Friday.
A letter from Geo. Huff to his mother here shows him to be at Borgogue, Canada, about 40 miles from the ranch of his brother Will. Geo. is herding horses for his brother and may remain and spend the winter there. He writes that Mrs. Will Huff and children will spend the winter in California.
Mrs. Mot Osgood and baby, with Mrs. Elizabeth Fuller, spent Monday at Neillsville that the former might have dental work done.
Mrs. Herman Kopps and two little ones went to Neillsville Saturday and remained over until the next morning, the guests of friends.
Mrs. Len Cole and daughter Bernice were over from Humbird and made a several days visit with the Fred Hart family last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schuelke went to Ebbe Saturday and spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Emil Prange.
Mrs. Aug. Schmoll and daughter Norma spent last Saturday with Miss Bertha Riedel.
Mrs. Mary L. Osgood, after a visit with Mrs. John Parrett in York, went home to Neenah, Saturday.
Wm. Lautenbach went to Colby Saturday to look after his real estate interests there.
Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Dean of Corvallis, Oregon, after a several weeks visit with old friends in York, continued on to the southern part of the state Saturday.
Mrs. Louis Garbush and little sons, after a several days visit at Gottlieb Hillert’s went home to Dorchester on Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Neinas and Mr. and Mrs. Gust Bergeman drove out to Ernest Neinas’ Saturday evening and helped them celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Amanda Long of the town of Washburn, accompanied by her son R.H. Long who was here on a visit, went to Brantwood Saturday on a visit to the former’s sister residing there.
Richard Kurth and Herman Braatz went to Wausau Saturday and continued on to Clintonville and made a short visit before returning home Monday evening.
Miss Rosa Viergutz went to Milwaukee Monday where she has employment and will probably remain until spring.
Fred Hart and family started for Humbird and Osseo Saturday evening by auto, but met a heavy rain storm near Dells Dam and turned around and came home.
Mrs. Gauger and two children came up from near Burlington Sunday and are since visiting at the Henry Braatz home. The ladies are sisters.
Mrs. Geo. Beaver and daughter Anita, Mrs. Herman Garbush, Fred Gerber, Mrs. Henry Lawson and daughter Myrtle, Miss Vivian Brooks, Miss Hulda Schoengarth and Mrs. Norman were Neillsville visitors Saturday.
