Beeckler, Esther (15 February 1894 - 16 November 1964)

 

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Gilbertson Funeral Home for Mrs.  Ben Beeckler, 70, of Rt. 1 Granton, who died Monday morning in St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. The Rev. Oscar Nichols of Neillsville will officiate.  Burial will be made in Windfall Cemetery, Granton.

 

Mrs. Beeckler, the former Esther True, was born February 15, 1894, in Lowell, Mass.  On May 25, 1918, she was married to Ben Beeckler in Neillsville. They farmed for eight years in the Town of Pine Valley, and then moved onto their present farm near Granton.

 

She is survived by her husband; a son, William of Granton; a daughter, Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Retzlaff of Verona; a nephew, Jack True, whom the Beeckler’s raise; seven grandchildren: three brothers, Ralph, Wilbur and Gordon True, all of Minneapolis, Minn.; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Childs of Chicago, Ill.

 

Pallbearers were: Fred Portz, John Hammond, Eugene Coyle, William Hoeft, Francis Steiner and Earl Chubb.
