Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fraser spent the latter part of last week visiting relatives here.

Mrs. S.G. Schwarz visited at C. Lindow’s Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lindow and daughter Helen, and Mrs. Schwarz spent Sunday at the Tony Schuster home in Stratford.

Mrs. Henry Prust is visiting her daughter Mrs. Tony Schuster since Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Waterman drove to Granton Sunday and spent the day visiting with home folks.

The Halloween party at the schoolhouse Thursday evening was a great success.

Clarence and Oscar Neinas attended a Halloween party at Marshfield last Friday evening.

Mrs. Albert Degener was a Marshfield caller Tuesday.

Mrs. F.J. Baer and Mrs. Scott W. Davis were town callers on Tuesday.

The first entertainment of the year in the schoolhouse was given Thursday night in the way of a Halloween party.  The teacher, Miss. Gladys Wage, made hard efforts to make a success of it, and it was in every way.  Especially the children seemed to enjoy the fun.

Mr. and Mrs. Alex Cattanach, who had been visiting relatives elsewhere, returned Thursday night.

The new house of Wm. Neinas is progressing nicely.  The shingles are all on, a good deal of the siding, the chimney is up, and the plastering will be done in a short time.

The potato house will ship out all the potatoes as fast as the spuds can be sacked and cars can be gotten before it freezes too hard.

Mr. C.G. Maack went to work for the potato company.  He will probably stay until all the potatoes are all out.

Several cars of hay and grain will be shipped out this week.

The new church has now a priming coat given by the Bell Brothers.  Next year another coat will be put on, and then it will look like something.

Joe Hutt lost the old grey horse, the fifth in 3 years.  He is very lucky that he has a colt of 3 years that he can put in its place, so he doesn’t have to buy another horse.

The team of L. Christianson ran away Monday night, getting scared by a box of household goods which fell onto the buggy they were pulling while coming into town.  The box off a big load of furniture which was hauled out of town is such a fast way that furniture, dishes and other stuff was strewn all over the road.  When the box fell on the buggy, the horses made a side jump, throwing Christianson out of the buggy.  The horses ran to Chili, left the buggy in front of L.A. Reichert’s store, jumped over a fence of H. Roehl’s pasture, and were caught without a scratch.
