Minsaas, Melro Alf ‘Rex’ (5 March 1898 - 21 November 1964)
Melro Alf (Rex) Minsaas, 68, of Greenwood, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home Saturday.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Arvid Myhrwold officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by the Wallis-Hinker Legion Post # 238.
He was born on March 5, 1898, in Eau Claire. On January 28, 1961, he was married to the former Mary Noah in Greenwood. Before retiring in May, he was employed as a farm laborer at the James Wangen farm at Loyal for 15 years.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars of Neillsville.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Michael Allen, 3; two brothers, Julius of Willard and Paul of Greenwood; five sisters, Mrs. Frank (Ida) Tetzloff of La Crosse, Mrs. Palmer (Enga) Nelson of Camton, S. D., Mrs. Clarence (Agnes) Henchen of Loyal, Mrs. Mattie Hansen of Neillsville, and Mrs. Laura Adams of Moorhead, Minn.
