Gemmeke, Henry (? - 22 November 1964)

 

Funeral services for Henry Gemmeke, 92, who died November 22, in Ridgeland, S. C., were held Friday afternoon from the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood. The Rev. Orval Egbert, pastor of Immanuel United Church, officiated.  Burial was made in the West Side Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Emory Stark, Albert Meinholdt, Oscar Wehrman, Walter, William and Arno Decker.

 

Miss Nettie Miller sang, "Over the Sunset Mountain," and "Some Day He’ll Make it plain," accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Daniel Olson.

 

Out of town people attending were: Edward T. Gemmeke of Ridgeland, S. C.; Mr. and Mrs. Emory Stark, Mrs. Velma J. Malinowski and Mrs. James (Vera) Vesper of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Gemmeke of Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shortess of Spencer; and many relatives and  friends from the surrounding area.
