Edward Horner, 70, of route one, Owen, died Thursday forenoon, April 24, at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, of a heart ailment.
Mr. Horner was born in the town of Beaver, July 18, 1887. He was married to Martha Witte, September 24, 1919 in the town of Unity. He lived in Clark County all of his life. At the age of 18nyears he purchased the farm where he, therafter, resided.
Funeral services were held at the Myre Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Wendell Bennetts, pastor of the Loyal Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Beaver town cemetery.
Mrs. Byron Zepplin was organist and Miss Nancy Osterman sang, "We Are Going Down The Valley One By One", and "Abide With Me."
Pallbearers were Herbert Heintz, Paul Hein, Edward Schindler, William Nirva, Roscoe Alexander, and Eino Haavisto.
Mr. Horner is survived by his wife, one son, Emil Horner, at home; a daughter Margaret and a son Orville, Eau Claire; two grandchildren; one brother, Herman Horner, Detroit, Michigan; and four sisters, Mrs. David Peplin, Miss Emma Horner, Mrs. Chauncey Johnston, and Mrs. Clarence Taylor all of California. One son, Elmer, preceded him in death.

Miss Dorothy Downs, and Mr. and Mrs. Al Hassle, Eau Claire; Mr. Herman Horner, Detroit, Mich; Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Horner, Milwaukee; Mrs. Rosalind Meier, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Witte, Sr. and Paulette and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Witte, Unity.
Mrs. Martha Meinholdt, Greenwood; Mr. John Miller, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Ted Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Schultz, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schu;tz, Mrs. Augusta Witte, and Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Witte, Colby; Mrs. Ella Lensing and Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Hanson, Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Kaufman and Mrs. Harvey Eisenmann, Mishicot.
