Greenwood (24 December 1964)

 

The 74th birthday of George Caliebe was celebrated at his home Wednesday evening.  Supper guests were Mr. and Mrs. William Kuester and daughter, Loretta, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Caliebe and family.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kirn and son, Kent, of New Richmond, were Sunday visitors at the Martin Kirn home in Willard.

 

Miss Rose Kern and Ed and Ted (line missing), Mrs. George Kern, Friday at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville, where she had been a patient since December 4.  They were accompanied by Mrs. Marie Meinhardt, a sister of Mrs. Kern.

 

Mrs. Adolph Jackson of Lake Forest, Ill., and formerly of Greenwood, was admitted Wednesday to a Marshfield hospital.  Mrs. Jackson is the mother of Mrs. Gordon Christopherson of Greenwood.

 

Relatives celebrated the birthday of William Kuester Tuesday evening at his home. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kuester, Mrs. Lydia Dill, Albert Fravert, Mrs. Alma Busch, William Goeke, Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Kuester, Mrs. and Mrs. Erwin Toburen of Greenwoods and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Catlin of Loyal. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rohde and son, Dean, arrived Sunday from Madison to spend the holidays with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Rohde and families.

 

The Zion-Immanuel youth Fellowship Christmas party will be held Sunday at 8 p.m. in Zion United Church. Each member may bring a friend.  Edwin Egbert and Emmett Wessel will be in charge of entertainment. The refreshment committee will be Bruce Miller and Richard and Bernard Novobielski, Jr.

 

Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Drake of Minneapolis, Minn., who came to attend the funeral of Mrs. May Clendenning, visited Friday and Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Beyer.  Mrs. Drake is the former Helen Butcher of Greenwood.
