L.O.T.M. Officers
The L.O.T.M. met with Mrs. A. Miller Saturday and elected the
following officers for the ensuing year:
Commander--Lila Miller
Liuet. Com.--Cass Gregory
Record Keeper--Addie Russell
Finance Keeper--Daisy Maxon
Chaplain--Sarah Fryer
Mistress of arms--Ida Stallard
Sergeant--Laura Blair
Picket--Jennie Durham
The next regular review will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, at Mrs. I.
M. Stallard's and all members are requested to be present.

Ladies of The Maccabees was a society
which sprung up after the Civil War and was organized in the
mid-1880s.. The Maccabees provided insurance as well as pleasant
social gatherings. It was consolidated with The Knights of
Maccabees. Their fraternal activities ended in 1962 when they
formed a life insurance company.
