Moen, Olaf O. (18 1898 - 24 MAY 1963)
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, May 7, in the Whitehurst Chapel for Olaf Oscar Moen, age 64 years. He passed away Friday evening at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Wiley, 1255 California St., after a long illness.
He went to Los Banos 18 years ago and worked for Lindemann Farms until retiring four years ago because of ill health. He was a native of Stanley and Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).
The Rev. M. Frieling of the Lutheran Church in Los Banos officiated at the servings. Burial was in the family plot in the Los Banos Cemetery.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Anna Mae Hatfield of Hollister, Mrs. Margie Wiley of Los Banos, Mrs. Faye Buetel of Port Chicago; four sons, Kenneth of Bakersfield, James of Das Palas, and Rodger and David of Hollister, Calif., nine grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Rayna Smasal, Mrs. Tena Walters, of Withee, Mrs. Mabel Henderson of Lebanon, Ore.; four brothers, Chester Moen, Sam and Elmer Hagen, all of Stanley, and Otto Moen of Isabella, Minn.; also a host of nieces and nephews. One baby daughter preceded him in death.
