Mrs. Amy Lewerenz returned last week Monday after spending the Christmas season in Mt. Prospect, Ill., with her mother, Mrs. Alvena Brandt, and with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mohr and son.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Duge and family of Fairchild, accompanied by Clara Knoop, Mrs. Hulda Degener and Mrs. Louis Wiesner of Neillsville, were New Year’s Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Butterbrodt and family of Chili.
Mrs. V. W. Nehs returned last week after spending part of the holiday season with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Nehs and family, in Appleton.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bruhn drove to Beloit Sunday, taking her mother, Mrs. Lillian Schweinler, home. Enroute they called at the DeWayne Schweinler home in Elroy and were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Lynch and family in Beloit. On Monday, they drove to Madison, where they attended the reception for Gov. Warren Knowles. While in Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Bruhn also visited with Brig. Gen. and Mrs. Francis Schweinler.
