Mrs. Edwin Hegenbarth spent Sunday in Stanley at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Karlen, and was present for the celebration of the 11th birthday of her grandson, Terry Karlen.
Mr. and Mrs. Val Krainz entertained at their home in Willard Wednesday evening with a surprise birthday party in honor of the 17th birthday of their son, Robert. Attending from here were his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Kaltinger, Jr.
The Salem Ladies Aid was entertained Wednesday afternoon at the Vern Henaman home. Mrs. Henaman presided. The Rev. Orval Egbert continued with a discussion on, "The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper." Mrs. Henaman served lunch to the visitors and members. The next meeting will be held February 10 at the home of Mrs. Clayton Braun.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Barr and daughter, Kathy, returned to Milwaukee Sunday after spending several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schneider and with his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Barr.
