Snow is holding back considerable so far, but chances are that we will have sleighing before long.

One car of potatoes was shipped out last week; two or three more will be shipped out this week.  This will make room for more.

Thanksgiving is coming close again, the turkeys are commencing to feel weak in the knees.  Still they ought to be proud to adorn the table on the nation’s feast day.

Mr. Mahoney of the Rhinelander Produce Co. was here Monday on business.

L.A. Reichert was a Granton business caller Monday.

John Ebben and family started for their new home near Little Chute, having shipped their furniture and household good ahead.  They have been good neighbors and their leaving is a loss to the country around here.

Mr. and Mrs. Lenherr returned from their visit in Monroe County.  They soon will leave for the west.

Will Neinas is still at building his house.  The outside work is about done, but a few days of lathing.

Mr. Florence from Nasonville is getting a new hay press in place of the one he just got this fall.  The first one was not strong enough to stand the pressure of pressing hay.  He thinks that he now has a press that will answer the purpose.

Ernest Montag is going back to his land this fall to cut wood and clear the land.

Some thirty-six of the Nasonville camp of Royal Neighbors were here and spent last week Wednesday with the Chili camp.

Miss Harriet Pietenpol and Arthur Berg spent Sunday afternoon at the Clark Waterman home here.

Mr. and Mrs. Will Gantworth spent Sunday with home folks at Spencer.

Mr. C.G. Maack and Miss Vivian Degener visited at the Otto Walters home Saturday and Sunday.

Mrs. H. Montag and Mrs. Charles Fenske were Marshfield shoppers on Tuesday.

Mr. Freeman Dankemyer was taken to the hospital at Eau Claire last Wednesday where he underwent an operation for appendicitis.  Although very ill, he is much better at this writing.

The hunters are returning, many with deer.  Herman Henning and August Prust of the town people captured one.

Mrs. Tom Gibson entertained the Ladies Aid last Thursday.

Everyone is invited to attend Sunday school next Sunday as the plans for Christmas are to be made that day.
