Marlene Schillinger of Coby is a patient in the Shriner’s Hospital in Chicago. Marlene underwent plastic surgery made necessary when she suffered severe burns on her body two years ago when her clothing caught fire from a kitchen stove in the Schillinger home. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schillinger.
Mrs. Lily Wilson of Abbotsford recently spent a week with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilson, in Wausau. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, with his mother, returned to Waukegan, Ill., where Mrs. Wilson plans to make her home.
Mrs. Harvey Bitter, who was called to El Paso, Tex., by the death of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Howard Buck, has returned to Abbotsford. Enroute home she visited a son in Chickasha, Okla., a daughter in Alpha, Ia., and a daughter in Rochester, Minn.
Mrs. Quinton Quade of St. Louis, Mo., is making an extended visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. G. Kieser of Abbotsford. She will assist with yearly records in the hardware store, where she was employed prior to her recent marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Stover have returned to Abbotsford from Ft. Wayne, Ind., where they had been called by the death of his sister, Mrs. Charles Riegel.
Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kalepp were honor guests at a welcome home party recently at their home in Abbotsford. Mr. and Mrs. Kalepp recently returned from a extended trip to Arizona.
Two Abbotsford ladies will celebrate their birthdays in February. Mrs. Julia Reis, who will be 95 February 12, makes her home with her son-in-law and only daughter, Mr. and Mrs. George Calmes of Abbotsford. Mrs. Emma Roder, who makes her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Timm of Rt. 2 Colby, will be 98, February 9.
Ben Dallman of Owen underwent major surgery recently in a Madison hospital. Mrs. Dallman and two sons drove to Madison to be with him.
Miss Trudy Graf of Switzerland has arrived for an extended visit at the John Potocnik home in Owen.
Earl Rienartson is convalescing at his home in Owen after being a hospital patient for eight weeks, during which time he underwent major surgery on three occasions.
Mrs. Anna Bundgaard of Withee has returned home from a four-week visit with her daughter and family in Troy, N. Y. A few days later she fractured a hip in a fall on steps at her home. She was taken to the Stanley hospital, where she underwent surgery the latter part of last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Sig Sorenson of Withee are spending several weeks in Florida. Enroute, they visited relatives in Chicago and with their son, Sidney, who teaches in Crystal Lake, Ill.
