Sternitzky, Anna (21 September 1891 - 6 February 1965)

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton for Miss Anna Sternitzky, 73, who died in Neillsville February 6.  The Rev. F. c. Benecke officiated with burial being made in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery.

 

Miss Sternitzky was born September 21, 1891, in the Town of Lynn.  Her parents were the late Henry and Johanna (Hillman) Sternitzky. She attended the Sunbeam School and the Zion Lutheran Parochial School.  On completing her schooling she did practical nursing in the area for many years.

 

She entered Memorial Home in Neillsville last summer and had lived with the Herman Hasz family in the Town of Lynn prior to moving to Neillsville.  She spent most of her lifetime in the Lynn area, where she was a member of Zion Lutheran Church.

 

Miss Sternitzky is survived by two brothers-in-law, Dan Nickel and Herman Hasz, both of Granton; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Elsie Stern of California; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

The Rev. F. C. Benecke officiated at services February 9, for Miss Anna Sternitzky, 73, who died February 6, in Neillsville.  Services were held from the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Pallbearers were: Louie Helm, William Dankemyer, Raymond and Erwin Sternitzky, Robert Breseman and Lucien Moh.

 

"The Lord is My Shepherd" and "Asleep in Jesus" were sung by the Misses Connie and Coleen Montgomery, accompanied by Mrs. Leland Garbisch.

 

Those attending the funeral from away were: Mr. and Mrs. Robert Breseman, Mrs. Emma Chubb, Mrs. Arthur Wegner, Mrs. Donna Payne, Brian and Roxane Payne, and Arthur Hafermann, all of Marshfield; Mrs. A. H. Laesch of Brookfield; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Kurth of Butler; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Grass of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Arndt of Thorp; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Schwanebeck of Pittsville; and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grottke of Chili.
