Neinas, Mathilda (9 May 1877 - 11 February 1965)
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from Zion Lutheran Church in Granton for Mrs. Mathilda Neinas, 87, of Granton, who died Thursday in Neillsville. The Rev. F. C. Benecke officiated at the 2 p.m. service. Burial was made in the Windfall Cemetery.
Mrs. Neinas, the former Mathilda Guk, was born May 9, 1877, in Germany and at the age of six came with her parents to the United States. The family settled in the Town of Lynn. She was married in December, 1895, to Charles Neinas in the town of Lynn. They farmed in the Town of Fremont before moving to Granton, where Mr. Neinas operated a feed store for many years. Mr. Neinas died in 1958.
For the last eight years, Mrs. Neinas had been in nursing homes and was a resident of Memorial Home since its opening. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and an honorary member of its Ladies Aid.
Survivors are a son, Arthur, of Marshfield; a daughter, Mrs. Glenn (Lydia) Seitzinger of Washington, D. C.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were William Morley, Ray Hoeft, Walter Schlinsog, Roland Quicker, Martin Krause and Carl Storm.
