Francis Lippert went to Stevens Point Saturday to attend the summer school at the Normal.

Among the speakers at the Old Settlers’ Picnic at Loyal last week were R. J. McBride and M. C. Ring.

T. D. Condit has picked 80 quarts of cherries from two small trees and there are several quarts left yet to ripen.

L. J. Harrington of Abbotsford was in the city the first of the week.  It is reported that Mr. Harrington may have some political aspirations.

Martin Lastofka’s auto-cycle ran into an open switch somewhere on the highway Tuesday, dislocating its thorax, and fracturing the parallelogram.

Persons who are not full citizens of the United States and who wish to become naturalized should call on F. W. Draper, Clerk of the Circuit Court at the court house in Neillsville, or write him, and he will supply all with the circular giving full information.

A proceeding was had Tuesday before Court Commissioner Kountz by which Walter Pradt of Colby was required to give a bond of $100 to keep the peace for three months.  It appears that Mr. Pradt made threats of shooting Dr. J. V. Kautzky of Colby.  The case will be appealed to circuit court.
