Smith, Edward (1882? - JAN 1911)
The sad news of the death of the son of Rev. and Mrs. A.E. Smith was found in the daily papers of Teusday in the following telegram:
"Spring Green, Jan. 23 - While measuring the water in a cistern, Edward Smith, superintendent of a large farm in Alabama, fell in and was drowned. He was a resident of this city when his father, Rev. A.E. Smith, was pastor here."
The young man was a visitor to Humbird (Clark Co., Wis.) twice during his father’s pastorate her. He was 27 years of age and but recently married. No further particulars have been learned here as of yet. Mr. and Mrs. Smith are in Mexico City, Mexico.
