Gorman, David E. (26 May 1886 - 21 March 1965)

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 24, for David E. Gorman, 78, Neillsville, who died here Sunday. The Rev. Paul Doering of Loyal officiated.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mr. Gorman was born May 26, 1886, in Neillsville, where he had spent his lifetime.  He served in World War I, having entered the armed service July 5, 1918, at Neillsville.   He operated a tin shop and plumbing business for many years in the city.  He had been a resident of Memorial Home since October 1963.

Mr. Gorman is survived by a sister, Mrs. Alma Sherman of Sauk City; a brother-in-law, Robert Boness of Memorial Home; a niece, Mrs. Gordon (Melba) Campbell of Neillsville; and a nephew, Dale Sherman of Merritt Island, Fla.

Gorman, 74 (78), held March 24 from the Georgas Funeral home were: Mrs. Elva Sherman of Sauk City; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Campbell of Chicago, Ill.; Miss Diane Campbell of Manitowoc; Elva Weld of Madison; Clarence Harmon, Percy Harmon and Lyle Harmon, all of Black River Falls.

The Rev. Paul Doering of Loyal officiated at the service.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Arnold Yankee, Henry Wasserburger, Herbert Scheel, Elliot Warlum, W. H. Allen and William Gehrt.  "In The Sweet Bye and Bye" and "Abide with Me" were sung by Wilfred G. Galstad, accompanied by Kathleen Galstad.
