Zuehlke, Mr. and Mrs. George (40th - 29 April 1965)
The 40th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. George Zuehlke was celebrated Sunday with a service held at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenwood, with the Rev. LeRoy Urman of Withee officiating.
One of the original attendants was present; she is Mrs. Ruth Oelrich of Spencer, sister of Mrs. Zuehlke.
George Zuehlke and the former Regina Zielsdorf were married April 29, 1925, in the North Spencer Lutheran Church by her father, the Rev. A. F. Zielsdorf.
The honored couple has two children, Mrs. Roy (Audrey) Johnson of Humbird and George Zuehlke, at home; and four grandchildren. All were present for the occasion.
A dinner was served in the church dining hall to 70 relatives and friends at 4 p.m.
Mr. Zuehlke has been a member of the Clark Count Board of Supervisors for 20 years, is presently chairman of the county agricultural committee, president of Trinity Church and chairman of the Town of Loyal.
Mrs. Zuehlke is president of the Trinity Ladies Aid and is secretary of the Clark County Homemakers.
