The dwelling house, owned by Andrew Flaig and occupied by S. P. Baker and family situated at the corner of Division Street and the Wausau road, was destroyed by fire last Friday night.
The family were all away from home when the fire occurred, so cannot tell just how it originated, but believe it to have been from a defect in the stovepipe.
When it was first discovered the whole upper portion of the house was in flames and burned so rapidly that nothing was saved from the house but a lounge and stove.
