Wisnewski, Lucille "Lucy" (Krueger) Raymond (April 13, 1927 - February 1, 2012)

 

Lucille "Lucy" (Raymond) Wisnewski, 84, Wausau, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Stonecrest Residence.

 

She was born April 13, 1927, in Colby, daughter of the late Henry and Edna (Laabs) Krueger.

 

On December 22, 1945, she married Clyde F. Raymond in Colby. He preceded her in death September 22, 1972. On April 30, 1977, she married Raymond Wisnewski in Poniatowski. He survives.

 

Lucille and Clyde owned and operated "Raymond’s Superette" in Wausau. Lucille loved people and was affectionately referred to as "Mom Raymond" by many of the students who rented from her. He was also a demo person in stores.

 

Survivors include her husband, Raymond Wisnewski, Wausau; a daughter, Diane (Alfred "Fritz") Wesnenick, Wausau, a son, Clyde (Karen) Raymond, Wausau; a sister, Darlene (DeLyle) Singstock, Abbotsford; a brother, Darrell (Roseanne) Krueger, Fifield; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

 

Besides her parents and husband, Clyde, she was preceded in death by one sister, Adeline Barfknecht.


The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2012, at the Church of the Holy Name of Jesus, Wausau. Rev. David Rybicki will preside. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Wausau. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the church.
