Slocomb, Charles (? - 3 May 1965)
Charles Slocomb, 76, died May 3, at his home in Beach, N. D., after a long illness of heart trouble. He was born in the own of Grant to the late Mr. and Mrs. Austin Slocomb. As a young man he went to Beach, N. D., and farmed until his retirement a few years ago. In 1918 he married Myrtie Rodgers, formerly of the Town of York. Mr. Slocomb was well-known in Neillsville and the Town of Grant.
He is survived by his widow and four children. They are: Mrs. Don (Erna) Gunther of Beach, N. D., Mrs. Clifford (Vivian) Hackett of Idaho, Harold of Beach and Ivan of Idaho. Eight grandchildren, three sisters and three brothers also survive. The sisters are: Mrs. E. D. (Lydia) Barton of Redondo Beach, Calif., Mrs. Arthur (Lettie) DeVine of Hermosa Beach, Calif., and Mrs. John (Caddie) Broers of Currie, Minn. The brothers are: Austin of Beach, N. D., Ernie of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Orlin of Chico, Calif.
The funeral was held Thursday in the Methodist Church of which he was a member. Interment was made in Beach, N. D.
