Sischo, Jennie (6 November 1884 - 24 May 1965)

 

Funeral Services were held Wednesday afternoon from the Christie Methodist Church for Mrs. Jennie Sischo, 80, of Neillsville, who died Monday at her home. The Rev. Carl Booher of Greenwood officiated. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Sischo was born November 6, 1884, in Neillsville, daughter of the late Albert and Carrie (Foster) Holt. She attended rural schools of the county.  On December 28, 1901, she was married to W. L. (Roy) Sischo in Neillsville. Mr. Sischo died in 1949.

 

They were engaged in farming.  Mrs. Sischo, who had been a life-long resident of the area, moved into Neillsville following the death of her husband.

 

She is survived by five children: Lyle of Springfield, Ore.; Mrs. Iva Franzen of Sunnyvale, Cal.; Mrs. Frank (Ione) Spangler of Cupertino, Cal.; Mrs. Willard (Bernice) Priebe of San Jose, Cal.; and Devere of Neillsville.  Other survivors are: two sisters, Mrs. Marian Begley of Neillsville and Mrs. William (Vera) Joyce of rural Neillsville; two brothers, Earl and Clarence Holt of Greenwood; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Sischo was a member of the Christie Methodist Church, Women’s Society of Christian Service and Golden Link Lodge of the Royal Neighbors.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
