Tolaney, Marjorie (Marriage - 29 May 1965)

The Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard was the scene Saturday of the wedding of Miss Marjorie Tolaney and Francis Wilhelm. The Rev. William Nikolai officiated at the ceremony, which was followed by a 12:30 p.m. dinner and a reception at 2:30 p.m. in the Holy Family Church.  A 4:30 p.m. supper followed the reception.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tolaney of Willard and Mrs. Francis Wilhelm, Sr., of Milwaukee, and the late Francis Wilhelm.

Miss Tolaney was given in marriage by her father as the church choir sang the nuptial high mass.  The bride wore a gown of white silk organza over taffeta, styled with a fitted bodice with full-length sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. The full bouffant floor length skirt of silk organza had scalloped panels all around. A cathedral train of hand rolled lace was scattered here and there with roses, which set off the fullness of the gown. A rose headpiece held her three-piece tier petal veil of illusion.  White orchids and white stephanotis comprised the cascade bouquet.

Mrs. Gerald Wilhelm served as matron of honor.  Bridesmaids were Donna Krainz of Milwaukee and Miss Karen Bramer of Fairchild. The attendants were attired in blue ballerina-length gowns of taffeta brocade and carried white bouquets of chrysanthemums.

The groom was attended by Gerald Wilhelm of Milwaukee as bestman. Groomsmen were brothers of the bride, John and Joseph Tolaney of Milwaukee.  Ushers were Anthony Tolaney, an uncle of the bride of Stevens Point, and Dan Harrigan of Rhinelander, uncle of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of Greenwood High School with the class of 1963 and is employed in Milwaukee as a bookkeeper.  Mr. Wilhelm is a 1956 graduate of Pius High school in Milwaukee.  He is employed as a maintenance man with the Milwaukee Railroad in Milwaukee, where they will reside.

Guests coming from out of town for the wedding included: Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jeras of Lyons, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bramer and daughter of Fairchild; Mr. and Mrs. Pat O’Brien and Debbie of Racine; A/3 Tony Tolaney of Truax Field, Madison; Miss Kris Bedmarek, Miss Pat Susa, Miss Carol Severson, Joseph and John Tolaney, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Tolaney and daughters, Mrs. Francis Wilhelm, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. James Smith and son, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Anderson and Kevin, Miss Maude Bunders, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wilhelm and Donna; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Flejter, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Nelson and Family, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Nelson and family, Dick Smith, Miss Beverly Beltman, Miss Mary Martin, all of Milwaukee; Dan Harrigan of Rhinelander; Mr. and Mrs. Ambrose Wilhelm of Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Harrigan of St. Paul, Minn.; and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Wilhelm of Marshfield.
