Walter Bros. pressed hay for Earl Lawrence and Hans Olson last week.

 

There was prayer meeting at Wm. Davis’ Tuesday afternoon at Sarah Lindsley’s Wednesday and at Mrs. Pease’s Friday afternoon.

 

A.P. Fulwiler had a bee to repair and raise a long barn Thursday.

 

E.G. Rowe and John Vande Berg are painting the interior of the schoolhouse.

 

Alvin Alton is visiting at the Dan Timerson home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Huntley made a trip to Marshfield Saturday to consult Dr. Hippke in regard to the latter’s throat.

 

Good crowds are attending the revival meeting at the M.E. Church.

 

Mrs. Mary Redmond went to Neillsville Friday for a short visit before returning to rice Lake.

 

The Royal Neighbors elected the following officers at their meeting Thursday afternoon: Oracle, Mrs. A. Soles; Vic Oracle, Mrs. Dennis; Recorder, Mrs. Lillie Vande Berg; Receiver, Mrs. Susie Benedict; Chancellor, Mrs. Zwick; Marshall, Miss O. Shafer; Inner Sentinel, Mrs. I. Root; Outer Sentinal, Mrs. Ethel Winn; Manager, Mrs. Lois Vande Berg.

 

Mrs. Sarah Lindsley had quite a serious accident Friday afternoon while returning from prayer meeting.  Her horse became frightened at an auto and ran away, tipping her out.  Her shoulder and arm were hurt quite badly.  Fortunately no bones were broken.  No serious damage was done to the buggy.  At this writing she is getting along nicely, although she will be laid up quite a while.

 

John Vande Berg and brother Abe and wife autoed to Spencer Sunday to see Mr. Fenhouse, who is in very poor health.

 

There will be an auction at Dan Timerson’s Saturday afternoon at 10:30 sharp.

 

Abie Turner is doing some carpenter work for Mr. Bardell.
