Rowe, Mr./Mrs. Byrl (Silver - 21 AUG 1963)
More than 100 relatives and friends shared in observance of the 25th wedding anniversary celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Byrl Rowe, city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), when they welcomed guests at their home on Sunday, Aug. 25th at an open house from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Relatives were entertained at a smorgasbord dinner at the Woodland Hotel at 5:30.
Mr. Rowe was born in Milwaukee and moved to Clark County with his parents when he was five years old. He received his grade school education in the Town of York graduated from the Granton High School and attended Neillsville Teacher’s Training School. He attended La Crosse State College one year and two years at Wis. State College at Stevens Point, where he received his Bachelor of Education degree. This summer he attended summer school at Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind. Mr. Rowe teaches math at the Owen-Withee Jr. High School.
Mr. and Mrs. Rowe were married Aug. 21, 1938 in Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church at Granton, with Rev. H.H. Luesch officiating. Two of the attendants were present for the occasion, Mrs. Ralph Carrell of South Milwaukee, and Gerald Rowe of Chippewa Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Rowe are the parents of four children, Nancy, William, Edward and Larry.
Out of town guests attending were Mr. Louis Elmhorst of Granton, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Bulgreen, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. George Elliott and Scott, Elmhurst, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Elmhorst, Sharon and Pam, St. Louis Park, Minn., Mrs. Ralph Carrell and Richard, South Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Driscoll, Marshfield, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Rowe, Mr. and Mrs. Buford Rowe, Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rowe, Bloomer.
