Klecacky, Frank (19 SEP 1880 - 6 SEP 1963)
Frank Klecacky, a resident of rural Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) for the past five years, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 1963, at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield, where he was being treated for diabetes. He had attained the age of 82 years, 11 months and 17 days.
Funeral services were conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, Owen, Monday afternoon, Sept. 9th, with Rev. Arnold Woodring officiating. Burial was made in the Thorp City Cemetery at Thorp. Serving as pallbearers were Harry Kopps, R. Weideman, Ed Kozikowski, Emil and Joe Kodl, and Frank Jasinek.
The deceased was born Sept. 19, 1880, in Austria. Upon coming to this country he first settled in Minnesota where he was united in marriage to Josephine Spela in 1918. She preceded him in death, having passed away in 1940.
For many years he farmed near Thorp after leaving Minnesota. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Frances Punochar, New Prague, Minn., a brother, Charles Klecacky, New Prague, Minn., four daughters, Mrs. Ann Shelleross and Mrs. Sylvia Everett, Almond, Wis., Mrs. James (Lillian) Mertl, Downers Grove, Ill., Mrs. Mildred Kozikowski, Marshfield; one son, Milton Kodl, Thorp; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
